Lufthansa communication platform for handling processes, Integrated Cockpit Ground Communication (IGCC)
Creating a communication platform based on XML and Voice Over IP in support of clearance processes at various European airports. Introduction of a solution to various partner airlines of Star Alliance check-in and support of various aircraft fleets.
The solution consists of using a content management system maintained intranet, which all clearance process employees can access. In addition, creating a Voice over IP communication system integrated with all employees who have only phone access (e.g. pilots, ramp agent, operations management, etc.)
The system acquires data via XML import and use of flight data, allowing flight related employees to communicate.
The Lufthansa Systems Infratec operates the system in the data center in Kelsterbach, Germany and provides 24/7 support and secure operation. Simultaneous interfaces ensure the operation of required subsystems, i.e. Vodafone, BT Ignite, as well as Fraport and the DAS (data-exchange system).
